Wärtsilä Valmarine AS is based in Drammen and Bergen with approx. 40 employees. We have an excellent reputation internationally for our expertise in most advanced Integrated Automation and Navigation Systems for both Commercial and Naval applications.
A reputation gained from more than almost forty years of engineering experience.
Our deliveries are based on the NACOS Platinum Family; the Wärtsilä NACOS VALMATIC Platinum and the NACOS Platinum Navigation System.
We seek two project engineers for Naval Navigation and one Security officer for Naval projects.
The Security Officer support projects on cyber security and handling of classified information and supports the security clearance process for the employees. All 3 supports the project manager in the project deliveries: Design, engineering, testing and documentation for the Navigation systems.
The project department is responsible for delivery of our integrated navigation and automation system products developed for use on cruise ships, ferries, other merchant vessels, offshore- and naval vessels.
Tasks and responsibilities
Security Officer:
• Project engineer with specific responsibility for security issues.
All:
• Navigation systems engineering
• ACAD for electrical drawings
• Documentation for Military projects
• Creating system specifications and acceptance test procedures
• In-house configuration and tests
• Traceability analysis
• ILS handling in Military projects
• On board activities for Setting to Work/HAT/SAT
Skills
Security Officer:
• Good knowledge on Cyber Security and security in Naval projects.
All:
• Knowledge from Navigation systems on board a ship
• Fluent English, both verbally and written
• Able to perform troubleshooting of software, computer, network and electronic equipment
Requirements
• Engineer (MSc/BSc) or equivalent. Work experience can compensate for formal education.
• Systematic and self-driven
• Eager to take on new challenges
• A good team member
• Must be able to obtain security clearance according to National Security Authority regulations
