About the position and the department
The Products & Engineering department must expand the team to meet a growing need in the market. In this connection, we are looking for competent employees who can contribute to developing competitive hydrogen systems for the green shift. We are therefore looking for a skilled and independent Mechanical Product Engineer.
The positions report to the Products, System & Mechanical Manager in Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser as.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Responsibilities and work areas:
- Industrial design and project engineering of hydrogen equipment
- Project and multidisciplinary engineering in projects, FEEDS and development projects
- Preparation of BOM and documentation in Teamcenter
- Carry out engineering according to Nel's internal work processes
- Carry out control of documentation in release processes
- Collaboration and coordination with other disciplines
- Participate in and facilitate design reviews, risk assessments and RCA
- Participate in testing of equipment as required
- Control of supplier documentation
- Manufacturing follow-up as required
Qualifications and experience
- BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Creative and solution-oriented
- Be concerned with cost-effective solutions and quality
- Experience of working according to defined Engineering processes
- Expertise in welding, NDT, material, coating is of interest
- Experience with PLM system (Teamcenter)
- Experience with SolidWorks is an advantage
- Experience with FEA analyzes (Ansys) is an advantage
Other competencies and personal skills
- Good knowledge of and understanding of relevant standards
- Initiative, analytical, systematic and independent
- Good communication and collaboration skills to find good solutions internally/ext
- Good knowledge of Norwegian and English
