Aker Solutions at Ågotnes delivers tier one Subsea services to our clients within our strong operational and maintenance segment. We have Aker Solutions’ largest service base and are responsible for all Aker Solutions delivered subsea equipment for the Norwegian continental shelf. We are supporting complex Subsea operations, installation of new subsea fields and circular economy within maintenance both in Norway and globally.
The service base consists of state-of-the-art office facilities and 5 workshops with test pits, test bays and clean rooms (7,000 m2). Our engineers appreciate the close cooperation with the workshop where they can witness how their decisions are put into action on a daily basis.
Aker Solutions Subsea in Ågotnes is now looking for several Senior Mechanical Engineers to join us in our mission to #powerthechange.
What will you be doing?
- As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the center of Subsea Lifecycle Services and be responsible for a rich variety of engineering tasks within unique subsea projects
- Our engineers are responsible for on-time, high quality execution of technical activities related to dedicated projects
- You will contribute to the mobilization and demobilization of Xmas Trees and Wellhead systems together with a highly skilled team
- Installation of subsea equipment is one of the most exciting parts of this role
- You will also be involved in refurbishment, modification and recertification of equipment, as well as factory acceptance and site integration testing
- Preparing system test procedures and contribute during on-site testing will give you the opportunity to travel offshore for sporadic trips.
- Work location is in our modern facilities in Ågotnes, 30 minutes drive (against traffic) from Bergen
We think you should have:
- You probably have a relevant Bsc or Msc degree within mechanical engineering discipline or similar
- To succeed in this role, you will benefit from having operational Subsea experience and/or project execution experience
- Good understanding of relevant subsea products and services and ability to advice clients and colleagues on technical matters is an advantage, but you will be given all the tools you need to succeed
- You should have good communications skills in English, oral and written
- A commercial mindset is important, as we love to see our clients succeed
- If you are a teamplayer, hands-on and have a structured mindset, you will thrive in this role
