Job Description

At Texthelp, we provide cutting-edge assistive technology tools to help students, teachers and people in the workplace achieve their true potential. Our products are used by over 50m people across the globe and we have a moonshot goal of reaching One Billion people by 2030.

We are looking for a Development Manager to help build and scale our Norway region. We're looking for an enthusiastic leader who can help to scale our business to meet our moonshot goal, whilst ensuring we meet our high standards of product quality, security, privacy, scalability and unparalleled natural language processing. 

As Development Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring our agile scrum teams are focused on high-level strategic objectives, developing the talent of our development teams and advising on technical issues relating to the technologies used in our products.

Main Responsibilities

• 80% managing of cross-platform development teams
• 20% doing development on various projects
• Solving technical architecture issues within the development team
• Producing reports on product technical progress to VP of Engineering
• Responsible for advocating the use of common code and frameworks across products and platforms
• Helping to drive technical innovation roadmap

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Project management skills
• 8+ years of commercial development experience
• Experience of managing a team of developers
• Excellent knowledge of C#.NET and Windows development
• Good knowledge of client-facing and server-side technologies
• Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently
• Experience of working in a cross functional team based agile environment.
