Job Summary:
As a Technical Safety and Reliability Engineer you will ensure that subsea boosting systems are designed with focus on safety and operability. We are involved in reliability and survival analysis to estimate the availability of the subsea systems, which is especially important subsea as access to repair is limited. Working in every corner of the world with multiple clients implies exposure to several different standards and specifications for how to design our systems and we need to navigate to find optimum system solutions across the portfolio. We are also involved with safety related workshops such as HAZOP, HAZID as well as analysis of failure modes, effects and criticality of our systems.

We are looking for a new technical safety and reliability engineer who can support the technical safety and reliability team within one or more of its focus areas as listed above. Relevant training will be provided to the right candidate if needed.

The technical safety and reliability engineer function is part of the Process Systems department and close collaboration across the technical areas is required.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • HAZID and HAZOP facilitation. Facilitate both internal and external HAZIDs and HAZOPs as part of study work or as part of Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
  • Reliability analysis. Calculate and document the reliability of our subsea boosting systems.
  • System design. Ensure safe system design for subsea boosting systems that complies with relevant specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • TRL and TRC analyses. Perform technology readiness level (TRL) and technology readiness criticality (TRC) analyses.
  • Failure mode analyses. Perform failure mode, effects and criticality analyses (FMECA).

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Master or PhD degree in relevant topics related to one or more of the following; technical safety, reliability analysis, safety and risk, and process engineering.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Good academic results.
  • Creative and solution oriented, with good communication skills in English. Being fluent in Norwegian is also an advantage.
  • Able to work efficiently both in teams and autonomously.
