DNB IS LOOKING FOR DEVOPS ENGINEERS TO BUILD THE INTEGRATION PLATFORM

In the coming months we will start working on modernizing the API Gateway infrastructure in DNB. This is exciting work for us as we will provide the API Gateway Infrastructure as a containerized platform in Azure. We are also continuously working on improving our integration tooling on API design and standardization as part of API Governance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of DNBs Center of Excellence team, with focus on APIs and integrations. Together we build a distributed API Gateway platform in DNB. You will interact closely with your team, architects and other stakeholders in DNB. You like to uncover requirements, understand the domain and are not afraid to learn about systems and the bank domain. You have experience with Integration platforms like API Gateways, Event platforms, MQ etc.

You will be part of a highly competent team responsible for the implementation, maintenance and operations of API Gateway platform, implement APIs to expose core banking services through REST APIs, as well as develop or integrate tooling for API design and standardization. We have a DevOps culture that aims to automate as much as possible and continuously improve our process. We like to care for each other and share our knowledge with others. The team is composed of engineers with a variety of experience and expertise, and we build on each other's strengths in the everyday work.

As a part of the Center of Excellence you will together with the team design, establish and run the Central API Gateway in DNB and support distributed teams in DNB with Infrastructure as Code, best practices, Golden Images and more for them to run distributed installations of the API Gateway.

As part of API Governance, you will together with the team develop, integrate and maintain tools for API design and standardization, with high focus on automation where possible.

This platform will run DNB most business critical value chains supporting DNBs customer channels and payment systems handling millions of requests pr day.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Knowledge of the following is mandatory: Java, APIs, web services, micro services
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with API Gateways, API design standards patterns, API specifications and best practices, especially related to REST APIs.
• Experience with Kong Enterprise API Gateway is positive
• Experience with API Design tools like SwaggerHub, Stoplight, Insomnia is positive.
• Good understanding of conceptual and physical design of application integration using APIs and events
• Experience working on Kong Ingress with Kubernetes and configurations
• Experienced in Kubernetes platform
• Good Understanding of platform to monitor and debug any platform or application issues.
• Good knowledge of OAUTH/OIDC - token based authentication protocol
• Having experience with AWS/Azure Cloud Infrastructures is a definite plus
• Experience with Application Security considerations; including knowledge of Industry standards and trends.
• Knowledge and experience of following tools are preferred: Git, Jira & Confluence.
