Zirq Solutions is a company in the Norsk Gjenvinning Group, which is Scandinavia’s second largest recycling and environmental services company. Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to an efficient circular economy.

The businesses of Zirq Solutions are recycling of cables, transformers, and medical waste through the daughter companies Zirq Cables AS and Zirq Medical AS.

Zirq Solutions is a disruptor and challenger of the status quo. Through years of R&D, Zirq Solutions has developed techniques, processes and technology which enables the recycling of products and materials previously not possible to recycle.

The combination of experience, know-how and technology, makes us a trustworthy and established supplier of in-demand recycled raw materials to European industry. Zirq Cables headquarters are located at Linnestad close to Tønsberg.

For both the cable and medical recycling business, the ambition for Zirq Solutions is to scale our leading solutions internationally the coming years. The growth will be both organic and through M&A. We are now offering the right candidate to join us on this journey and take lead in building and farming our most central customers within the cables industry.

Although Zirq Solutions is a young scale up company, our business is profitable, with an estimated turnover in 2022 of NOK 1 billion.

The role of the Director for Sales and Marketing:
Zirq Solutions is a market leader and pioneer within an increasingly important area. Our strategy is sustainability – on industrial terms. You will get an instrumental role in building, maintaining, and developing our customers within the cables industry. As the director for sales and marketing you will be part of a skilful, customer driven and international team with high ambitions. The position will report to the CCO of Zirq Cables, and the main location for this position will be at Linnestad close to Tønsberg. Travelling must be expected.

 

Areas of responsibility:

  • Contribute to grow the market need for circular solutions for green metals and plastics -> Build a next generation industry
  • Responsible for securing feedstock (cables) volumes to our manufacturing facilities.
  • Sales of finished goods to international downstream customers.
  • Contract negotiations and annual purchase agreements.
  • Build, maintain and develop strong customer relations with key clients.
  • Develop a pipeline of right fit customers and partners, both in Denmark and Europe as a whole
  • Negotiations and follow up of contract KPIs.
  • Opportunity to participate in and influence the European scaling agenda of Zirq Cables.
  • Proactive team player within the Zirq Solutions Group.
  • Monitor production data against LME (London Metal Exchange) prices.
  • Play an active role in the international scaling agenda.
  • Ensure good collaboration with sister companies in the NG Group.

Desired capabilities:

  • University degree, or similar
  • Strong relationship building skills and energized by building relations across culturally diverse teams.
  • Effective communicator, fluency in English, more languages are a bonus.
  • Solutions-oriented – always looking for ways to solve a (linear) problem with a (zirqular) solution.
  • Proactive: eager to initiate and lead processes.
  • Commercial and disruptive mindset – with a focus on building, delivering and capturing value.
  • Experience from negotiations and from entering into commercial agreements.
  • Analytical and structured - ability to handle several processes simultaneously.
  • Tech savvy and thrives when documenting own work processes.
  • Strong skillset within the office suite and use of CRM.
  • Strong project management and execution skills.
  • Experience from cable recycling or metal trading is a bonus.
