R&D Embedded SW Engineer

On behalf of Cavotec we are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the team at their office in Hell, Trøndelag.

In this role you will be a part of of the R&D Department, which mainly develop HW and SW for all our radio remote control systems and support systems. These systems are used for many industrial applications where both safety and reliability are an important issue. They are highly configurable and flexible to suit the customers' needs. You will mainly work with embedded SW for our inhouse designed HW. Cavotec is a global company, with offices and customers all over the world, so proficiency in English is required. As part of this role there may be som domestic and international travel

Work tasks and responsibilities:

• Specification, design and implementation of embedded SW.
• Test and verification tasks according to our quality requirements.
• Technical documentation.
• Maintenance of existing embedded applications and tools.
• Technical support to assist other parts of Cavotec with details technical knowledge.
• Develop new solutions and products for the future.

Skills & Experience

Required: - Education on BSc or MSc level within relevant areas such as electronics, cybernetics or computer science is desired, but relevant experience and personal interests may compensate for missing formal education.Communications skills, written and oral, English and Norwegian. - Experience in embedded C-programming and fundamental understanding of electronics.

Preferred experience:

• Embedded debugging and development environments
• Real time systems
• ARM/AVR microcontrollers
• Industrial fieldbus communication and/or PLC
• Radio communication systems.
