About the role

As a technical pre-sales consultant at TD SYNNEX you will have full ability to use your technical knowledge in customer dialogues and cases. You will be holding meetings with partners and customers, identify their needs and come with technically viable datacenter infrastructure solutions that directly impact business outcomes, availability and growth.

This role comprises of a technical majority of responsibilities, combined with a few commercial ones, to ensure technically viable solutions as well as partner / vendor satisfaction. You will be collaborating with the sales team and BDM to profile run rate solutions for stock and inventory planning purposes and also be working on the commercial aspects of customer cases and enquiries.

Other tasks

• Use internal and vendor tools to generate accurate bill of materials on a timely basis to serve resellers and their customers and other Tech Data sales teams
• Understanding and application of vendor promotions
• Maintain peer-level technical contacts in assigned vendor: create and maintain partner relations
• Provision of an outstanding quality of service and meet predefined customer service level agreements (SLAs)
• Develop, maintain and expand product and solution knowledge to a competent technical level in line with vendor/business expectations
• Work towards the required level of technical knowledge in product or technology group and the achievement of any vendor related accreditation

Position qualification

To be successful in this role we expect you to have experience of having worked with business as Server & Storage, to have good technical knowledge and have a mindset of always finding and building solutions to different kind of questions customer or partners may have around their business. We also see you who have a sales oriented mind as a very attractive candidate. For this position you are required to have good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbally and in writing.

Other required skills

• Certified across single or multiple vendors
• Cohesive and technical delivery of customer solution presentations.
• Strong commercial awareness
• Ability to handle customer queries on a case by case basis.
• IT industry knowledge – Channel, Vendors, Competition and End User is desirable but not mandatory depending on seniority of role.
