Your role will include interaction directly with customers, operational and manufacturing departments. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and work as part of the technical service team in Norway. In this role, you will take ownership of the repair/service cycle from start to finish, undertaking all technical activities relating to each tool/equipment for both intercompany and third party customers.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION :

• Service and maintain the IntelliServ fleet of assets and customer owned tools and equipment with IntelliServ technology installed.
• Work with detailed instructions, electronic tools and test equipment to assemble accordingly
• Installs and configures firmware and hardware in servers and electronic test fixtures and performs testing to certify that the hardware is qualified for field use.
• Documents and keeps a detailed history of the components assembled.
• Troubleshoots and assesses problems with network hardware in order to make corrections. May require assistance from more experienced technician, lead and/or supervisor.
• Repairs network hardware and tests support equipment. Accurately documents the repair work performed and submits this information to engineering for review.
• Performs maintenance on IntelliServ network hardware and test support equipment. Includes firmware/software upgrades as needed
• Documents all hardware deployed to the field and performs routine recalls on this equipment to perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
• Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field. Work experience will be accepted in place of degree.
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
• Thorough understanding of company safety policies and procedures.
• Experience using MS Office.
• Experienced and certified with Soldering. Firm soldering experience preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of previous experience working with electronics. Firm understanding of basic electronic symbols.
• Experience applying procedures for detailed documentation of work orders, process data, test results, etc.
• Experience reading and understanding electronic schematics and blueprints.
• Experience using electronic test equipment and tools.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing and documenting problems with IntelliServ network hardware and test support equipment, perform upgrades and scheduled maintenance.
