To support our strong growth, we are actively on the lookout for the newly created role as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Your key objectives in H5P Group will be to ensure that the H5P cloud services are running optimally and securely, taking responsibility for incidents and operational problems ensuring delivery to the highest standards.


You will be part of the Service Operations Team, which is responsible for support, releases and SAAS operations. In this role you will be reporting to the Service Operations Manager and working closely with the development team. 



What will you be doing?

As this position will be our first dedicated resource focusing on cloud infrastructure, you will have a key role in making sure our SAAS is capable of handling our continuous growth. This includes: 


  • Overall responsibility of the H5P cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scaling
  • Monitoring all services and improving anomaly detection.
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Contributions to architectural designs and infrastructural improvements in cooperation with the developer team.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Participate in the release process when needed.


Who are you?

You don’t have to check all the boxes, but these are some of the skills and experiences we think are important for this role: 


  • Three or more years of experience in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.
  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or an equivalent of experience or training in industry.
  • Proficient with Linux.
  • You must be a team-player, eager to learn and see feedback as an opportunity to improve.
  • You must write and speak English well, and be comfortable in communicating in English, as English is our business language.
  • The ability to juggle many projects/tasks at once. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • You must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Must be located or willing to permanently relocate to Tromsoe or Oslo (Norway) as this role is located in Norway.
  • The position requires a clean criminal record, relevant candidates must submit documentation of this.

  • If you have AWS certifications, that’s a plus.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 audits is a plus
