Handelsbanken´s digital unit is a new unit established as a modern, digital organization, having ambitions to build the best digital-first mobile and web banking applications for the retail banking market. To succeed with this, we need Product Owners to help shape and ship the product and define the culture of the new digital unit.

We have ambitious goals, fast pace, lots of energy and knowledge of what this means in terms of investments, and willingness to change. Within the new unit, you will play a crucial role in creating the customer experience, while also shaping a great team culture, the product, features, and customer journey. What will your role be as a Product Owner?

The Product Owner is a key role in Handelsbanken´s digital product delivery, leading an agile, cross-functional squad of developers and designers. You will take responsibility for one domain within the digital offering, e.g. payments, savings, or mortgages, and deliver a solution that users love. You will have freedom to shape the culture with your cross-functional delivery team.

We believe you have good communication and teamwork skills and can synthesize and communicate business concepts. Handelsbanken works according to agile principles. Therefore, it is preferred that you can show experience in delivery of products, and leading agile teams in successful technological projects using agile methodologies.

You will do the following in the role as a Product Owner:

• Continuously manage backlog and refine requirements based on user insights and business needs
• Ensure a consistent user experience across a complex set of features
• Manage roadmap for the work stream and coordinate with Product Owners of the other journeys
• Specify requirements (user stories) along with quality standards
• Drive day to day work of the designers and developers in the agile squad, planning and reviewing work packages
• Align with stakeholders in other units of the bank

We would love to hear from you if you have (some of) the following qualifications:

• Experience as Product Owner managing an agile squad
• Significant experience making successful user-oriented solutions (proven drive) based on analytic data
• Strong industry knowledge in retail, banking, payment services, or FinTech
• Knowledge of modern fundamental technological and digital concepts
• Knowledge of banking and payment regulations in Norway and Nordics
• 4+ years of experience managing finance-based products
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
