Supplier cost, benchmarking and sustainability

FREYR Battery is on a mission to deliver the world`s most cost-effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly batteries to accelerate the decarbonization of all transportation and energy systems.

We plan to build 43GWh capacity over the next 4 years and take the global no.1 positions in both cost and CO2 footprint. Without batteries, there can be no real change in the global energy system, the key to limiting temperature increases. These factories are a significant contribution to a more sustainable future.

Sourcing of raw materials in the most efficient manner is important for our sustainability, cost, and quality targets.

We are hiring a Purchasing Analyst for our office in Lysaker, Oslo who will develop supplier cost forecasting models, ensure our contractual commitments follow-up, conduct supplier analysis & benchmarking, and perform ESG analysis in collaboration with internal stakeholders. The position will also initiate, secure and control issuing of Purchase Orders and secure the approval process.

As a Purchasing Analyst in FREYR you have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain, business management, or equivalent. You have a minimum of 3 years of work experience from similar roles, where you have become accustomed to demanding standards. The position reports to our SVP Purchasing.

In terms of key competencies, we are looking for candidates with an analytical and structured approach, a commercial mindset, and experience and interest in ESG and sustainability. Experience with sourcing and supply management from relevant industries is an advantage.
Strong IT and systems capabilities in MS Office and experience with ERP system is also a plus.
