There is now a new position available for an experienced Research Scientist/Engineer within our Testing & Validation team which is part of our pioneering Research and Development function based in Arendal, Norway. Here you will provide crucial support to the team with all testing requirements for different chemistries and cell formats.

The successful Research Scientist/Engineer will become part of a highly collaborative, dedicated and skilled team, each with their own key competence to learn from. Combined with Morrows' rapid growth we can offer a work environment with energy, continued development and the technologies to build the batteries of the future.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Development of Battery Design Verification and Validation plan (DVP plan)
  • Organization, planning and managing of in-house & external testing activities
  • Communication with external testing laboratories
  • Proactively engage with procurement process (RFQ, PR, PO) for Research and Development activities
  • Regular reporting on all verification and validation activities
  • Close co-work with Research and Production team for DV & PV
  • Creating detailed test specificationS
  • Analysis of test results & creating test reports

  • Support to ongoing product and process improvement

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Masters or PhD in Electrochemistry or Materials Chemistry
  • More than 3 years of experience in electrochemical testing
  • Practical experience with batteries or other electrochemical energy storage devices.
  • Skilled in various electrochemical techniques such as impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV), HPPC etc.

Specific Skills/Personal Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel to visit test facilities for internal and external activities.
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be in constant interaction with international customers and test agencies.
  • Proven track record in meeting customer requirements and expectations.
  • Highly confident in data analysis and presentation.
