Our Supply Chain Department within Hydro Power Projects is looking for Senior Buyers. The Candidates will have the opportunity to be a part of building a Supply Chain Department almost from scratch. We are setting up ERP system with processes and procedures and, building a quality supplier base to be able to deliver on and to the Global market.
What will you be doing?
- Accountable for cost, schedule and quality on all deliverables
- Manage commercial negotiations and the procurement process, liaise with Legal department on complex contractual issues
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and establish framework agreements when applicable
- Develop continuous improvement efforts within procurement at the delivery unit and across the value chain
- Maintain procurement budgets including tender forecasting and project reporting when needed
- Ensure all activities related to procurement are in compliance to procedures, guidelines, business policy and project requirements
- Coordinate and lead status meetings internally and at Vendor site
- Some travel should be expected
We think you should have:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering or business/commercial degree. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of higher education
- 5+ years’ experience as Buyer/Senior Buyer
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and enable business improvements
- Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, preferably also Norwegian
- Good understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft xls
