We are now looking for Sanctions Analysts to help within one of the most important and rapidly evolving compliance risks for Gard. The successful candidates will become part of the Sanctions Consultancy Group and provide guidance and support to the business (claims and underwriting) concerning global sanctions.
Key responsibilities for Sanction Analysts:
- Monitor changes in risk elements.
- Document and handle incoming Sanction requests from primarily the claims and underwriting departments.
- Make statistics and reports to map and understand sanction risks in the Gard portfolio.
- Provide sanctions standard advice.
- Preparation of various guidelines and how-to’s related to sanctions compliance.
- Training of Gard users on various sanction related IT-systems; the Compliance Catalyst, Windward (vessel monitoring) and Seasearcher (vessel tracking).
- Contribute to improve the processes relating to sanctions compliance in close collaboration with the Sanctions Escalation Points for Claims and Underwriting and Group Legal.
- Sanctions screening of third parties.
- Analysis of screening results.
- Fact finding/investigations related to Members/Clients and ongoing cases.
- Other tasks required to support the Sanctions Consultancy Group.
Who are you:
- Have an interest in sanctions and foreign policy issues in general.
- Have good communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English.
- Are analytical, with attention to detail and strong risk awareness.
- Have a solution-oriented and structured approach to work.
- Work independently but at the same time being a good team player.
- Value high service levels and the importance of "getting it right the first time”.
- Preferably have knowledge about marine insurance.
- Have strong IT-skills.
