Structures Engineers and Supervisors - Sotra Connection Project

IKM Rada is searching for two experienced Structures Senior Engineers and seven Structures Supervisors (Jr. and Sr.) on behalf of our client Sotra Link Construction JV. If you have experience from concrete works for large scale civil infrastructures projects as bridges and culverts, we might have an exiting role for you. Scope of work:

• 6 viaducts with pile foundations on fjords/lakes. 5 to 6 spans with maximum length of 40 m, post-tensioned lightened concrete slabs.
• 9 viaducts with direct shallow foundations. Post-tensioned lightened concrete slabs.
• 9 pedestrian bridges with direct shallow foundations. Solid concrete slabs.
• 15 culverts/underpasses.
• 2000 m concrete retaining walls.

As Engineer (Sr.), you will manage an area of the construction site, following a team of supervisors. You will provide technical advice, overseeing our subcontractors or own manpower, and ensuring that their packages are completed on time and within budget.

Job description

• Managing a defined part of the construction site 
• Only for the Engineer positions: supervising Supervisors
• Overseeing building works (scaffolding, formworks, reinforcement, post-tensioning, concrete and finishing works), supervising subcontractors/own manpower and equipment
• Plan works according to schedule and ensure all needs are delivered on time (materials, tools, equipment.)
• Follow up site daily requirements (survey request, inspection requests.)
• Liaising with Technical department for any design deviation, drawings mismatch, design infeasibility.)
• Undertaking surveys
• Setting out sites
• Checking technical design and BIM model to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budget and schedule
• Monitoring progress and report it.
• Liaising with client representatives and QAQC inspectors for the ITP inspections
• Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
• Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
• Liaising with quantity surveyors for monthly progress and invoicing

Requierments

Structures Senior Engineer:

• At least 8 years experiences in concrete works for large scale civil infrastructures projects as bridges and culverts
• Education: Construction Engineer or similar.
• Desirable Norwegian concrete works supervision U3 License
• Languages: Complete professional competence in English. Norwegian desirable, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in BIM methodology and software desirable

Structures Supervisor Junior:

• At least 4 years experiences in concrete works for large scale civil infrastructures projects as bridges and culverts.
• Education: Construction Engineer or similar.
• Desirable Norwegian concrete works supervision U3 License
• Languages: Complete professional competence in English. Norwegian desirable, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in BIM methodology and software desirable

Structures Supervisor Senior:

• At least 15 years experiences in concrete works for large scale civil infrastructures projects as bridges and culverts.
• Education: No need
• Desirable Norwegian concrete works supervision U3 License
• Languages: Complete professional competence in English. Norwegian desirable but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in BIM methodology and software desirable
