Quality Coordinator & Quality Engineer

IKM Rada is searching for several experienced Quality Engineers/Supervisors and Quality Coordinators on behalf of our client Sotra Link Construction JV. If you have experience from quality work in construction or from major infrastructure projects, we might have an exiting role for you.

Quality Coordinator

The Quality coordinator reports to the QA/QC Manager regarding quality related issues. The quality Coordinator coordinates quality activities in the project and supervises and supports the Quality Engineers as required for them to fulfil their quality activities within their designated production areas.

Job Description

• Cooperating closely with production and take part in their meetings in order to plan for the related quality activities and ensure necessary quality activities are integrated into the production plans
• Based on method statements and other applicable requirements, prepare and update inspection and test plans (ITP) to ensure they efficiently specify how inspections and tests in production will be carried out in order to document compliance with client and legal quality requirements 
• Support the quality engineer to ensure that necessary checklists as per the ITP are established in BIM360Field ready to be used for inspections. 
• Support the quality engineers to carry out inspections and controls according to the relevant ITPs, recording them in BIM360Field and managing the subsequent follow-up in cooperation with the production line as required.
• Support the quality engineers to ensure that quality documentation for the relevant production area is complete, well organized, and available in the right platform (BIM360Field, BIM360Docs or Aconex) 
• Interfacing and coordinating the Quality personnel of the Subcontractors on all quality control activities as per relevant MSTs, ITPs, WPs
• Report and manage issues and nonconformities as per the relevant procedures 

Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer/Supervisor reports to the Quality Coordinator and QA/QC Manager regarding quality related issues. He/She supports the production supervisors in the organization and management of the quality control activities in the relevant production areas. On site, the Quality Engineer/Supervisor supports the site supervisors to manage and control the activities to be performed by the Subcontractors/Suppliers as per the Inspections and test plans (ITPs), Method statements (MSTs), Work procedures (WPs) and Design Models/Drawings etc.

Job Description

• Following the correct implementation of the procedures relevant to the assigned activities as per the Inspections and test plans (ITPs), Method statements (MSTs), Work procedures (WPs) and Design models/drawings
• Ensuring that the necessary checklists as per the ITP are established in BIM360Field and are ready to be used for inspections
• Carrying out inspections and controls according to the relevant ITPs, recording them in BIM360Field and managing the subsequent follow-up in cooperation with the production department as required
• Ensuring that the quality documentation for the relevant production area is complete, well organized, and available in the right platform (BIM360Field, BIM360Docs or Aconex)
• Interfacing and coordinating the Quality personnel of the Subcontractors on all quality control activities as per relevant MSTs, ITPs, WPs
• Reporting issues and nonconformities and managing them as per the relevant procedures

Qualifications and work experience

• Civil Engineering University Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QA/QC Management
• Prior experience and a proven track record of developing QA/QC best practices in the construction industry - infrastructure projects
• Experience in a similar position in Scandinavian countries
• Good IT knowledge 
• English and Norwegian both written and oral, other languages of advantage 
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
