Open Application - Senior Hardware Engineer

Within Hardware Development, you will be a part of the hardware team developing the core of the Zaptec products, ensuring that Zaptec´s hardware solutions are both at the forefront technologically and with safety and quality as a top priority. 

We currently have three hardware products in the market and plan to release several new products that require the hardware team´s attention. 

The daily work will include hardware design on both existing- and unreleased products and close cooperation with other technical departments such as embedded, mechanical, and software. Our products include everything from low-power radios to high-power electronics, thus, there is room for every interest within electronics.

As we design all parts of the products in-house, you will be part of the whole journey from early prototypes exploding in the lab to the final successful tests qualifying the product for mass production. We also have an in-house electronics- and test lab for prototyping and the verification of our products.

Tasks will in general be:

• Design and simulation of analog- and digital electronics
• Schematic and layout design in Altium Designer
• Design for manufacturing and collaborating with the operations department to ensure streamlined production of new products
• Prototyping and qualification testing of new designs
• Pre-compliance testing - EMC, Radio, and safety (LVD)
• Compliance testing at 3rd party laboratories
