We are looking for a motivated and self-driven onshore based Marine Advisor experienced within offshore marine operations, in particular towing- and anchor handling operations.

The Marine Advisor provides marine technical support to projects and departments. During project offshore execution the Marine Advisor typically has the role as Towmaster on command vessel, Marine Representative position on support vessels/tugs, or as Project Engineer.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce marine related engineering documentation, perform procurement and supplier follow up, HSEQ support, prepare technical presentations, and reporting
• Assist in early engagement and tendering activities with method statements, schedule- and cost input
• Identify required engineering analysis to prove system integrity
• Evaluate and audit tow/marine spread to ensure project requirement and client standards are met
• Supervise and actively participate in the execution of marine related onshore fabrication activities, nearshore and offshore marine operations
• Carry out all operations in accordance with approved procedures
• Travel offshore as Towmaster/ Marine Representative/ Project Engineer

Capability profile / Qualifications:

• Master Mariner (STCW II/2) (Expired certificates will be accepted)
• Experienced within offshore marine operations in general, towing and anchor handling in particular
• An engineering degree in Marine-/Naval-/Offshore Technology /Civil/Machine or equivalent is beneficial

• Valid health certificates for work in Norwegian sector
