As a Purchaser you will be responsible for facilitating and maintaining the procurement process from requests for various components all the way, from quote, negotiation, ordering and to payment. You will be a key member of the team and participate in all the aspects of the process, across multiple NOV disciplines, for the categories assigned to you. 

Daily you will be able to use your effective communication skills in both Norwegian and English and use your negotiations skills to purchase components at the lowest possible price, according to specifications and quality requirements and to ensure that the delivery schedule is met.

 Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to understand need requirements.
• Solicits competitive offers from qualified suppliers.
• Issue Purchase orders in accordance with internal guidelines.
• Follow up deliveries in cooperation with internal and external partners, to secure deliveries in accordance with NOV quality requirements.
• Perform expediting when required to assure purchase order delivery schedule is met, and suppliers are meeting contractual criteria.
• Keeps purchase orders (PO) status up to date.
• Reviews supplier performance regularly to ensure that all aspects of the Purchase to Pay process are properly maintained.
• Maintains adequate purchasing records.
• Monitors the PO confirmation process and ensures purchase orders are appropriately paid and closed.

 Technical Competencies

• Preferable technical understanding and able to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of logistics and finance.
• General business system knowledge.
• Previous experience as a service worker 
• Knowledge of Ex equipment and electric motors
