We are looking for someone proactive and experienced to lead this work in CARE International.
CARE Norway (CN) has taken on the exciting role of leading the CARE’s global team on Women’s Economic Justice (WEJ). CARE has set itself an ambitious goal of reaching 50 million women have more equitable access to and control over economic resources and opportunities by 2030.
Your main responsibility as the global coordinator for CIs WEJ team will be to provide strategic leadership and coordination to the CARE WEJ impact area, to support the implementation of the WEJ strategy.
This means that you:
- Work with WEJ experts within CARE in order to promote program quality through the provision of technical advice and support on WEJ issues
- Ensure CARE is measuring impact, managing knowledge and promoting learning across the WEJ impact area
- Are responsible for increasing the profile and recognition of CARE’s thought leadership on women’s economic justice
- Ensure CARE’s representation to external stakeholders and partners in relation to CARE’s women’s economic justice expertise
- Support CN’s strategic thinking on WEJ and participate in prioritised meetings and arenas
We are looking for someone who has:
- Master’s degree in related field
- Minimum 10 years of work experience including women’s economic justice
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience in coordinating complex processes
- Proven ability to network and engage
- Leadership experience
- English proficiency, good Norwegian skills
- Skills in French/Spanish/Arabic language considered an advantage

You will engage with colleagues worldwide to develop CI’s work on WEJ. It is a permanent position based in Oslo, Norway where we are a team of 27 staff. The position will report to CARE Norge Director of International Department.
