Are you our new structured and independent Product Engineer?

Interwell has a wide range of world class downhole products, offering a wide range of solutions, and are now looking for a Product Engineer to be the owner of our Downhole Acoustic Monitoring Tools. In the position's first phase you will work in the interface between product management and R&D and assist with field testing and troubleshooting, and help transferring the products from the R&D phase and establishing them as standardized and commercial products. As the products are released to the market, the position will transform to a more standard Product Engineer position. As an Interwell Product Engineer you are the owner of the assigned products, building and maintaining the product framework and providing support in the organisation. You will be an important asset in a multi-disciplined environment, contributing to create innovative products in an exciting global company. 

You will preferably have an educational background from Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, or similar fields. You should be systematic and patient and have both systemic, theoretical, and practical engineering interests. Offshore experience from cased and open hole operations, logging etc will be an advantage but not a requirement. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Some travelling might be required.

Main Activities & Responsibilities:

• Product Engineer for Interwell's Downhole Acoustic Monitoring products. The products contain electronics, transducers and mechanical design, so broad technical knowledge is desirable
• Assist in finalizing the R&D phase and establishing standardized and commercial products
• Responsibility for development and maintenance of documentation for assigned products
• Participation in the product development processes, such as contributing to new product variants
• Provide technical and operational support and assist sales and marketing for assigned standard products globally
• Proactive product management with responsibility for continuous improvements and optimizations of assigned products
• Responsible for NCR handling, troubleshooting, inspections, testing and reporting related to assigned products
• Provide internal product training and presentations
• Keep track of product history and analyse trends
• Know and use the HSSE and quality system, especially the procedures that apply to design and product management
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and personal commitment to Interwell policies

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc Engineering in Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, or similar fields (experience may compensate for education and recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Structured and independent
• Fluent English - oral and written
• Broad technical knowledge
• Experience form well logging and Cased and Open hole operations is an advantage
