You will be employed in the Aker Horizons Asset Development team where we together will develop, build and operate green industrial hubs across the world.

Purpose of the position

We are looking to hire experienced, knowledgeable, and proactive Senior Contract Managers to help deliver on the Aker Horizons Asset Development strategic objectives.

We would like you to:

• Lead strategic sourcing in large complex, projects in a new industry
• Lead the work of establishing contract strategies from an owner and operator perspective, a key success factor for the projects
• Perform market scouting efforts including approaches to vendors (RFP) and initial screening
• Lead the drafting of key contracts in close collaboration with legal and our partners
• Lead tendering exercises including drafting of tendering packages, market approaches and receipt of bids
• Lead the bid evaluation process with multidisciplinary input, initiate contract negotiations and secure awards in-line with company strategy
• Support project teams with contract management developing strong client-contractor relationships where shared wins and best in class performance is the goal
• Assist project finance and the due-diligence process with support on key topics including project insurance, bank guarantees and parent company guarantees
• Be a part of the development and creation of corporate governance processes related to all supply chain topics

You have:

• Master’s degree within business management, engineering, law, or equivalent
• 7+ years' experience within contracts and procurement/supply chain management within onshore or offshore construction industry, renewables experience preferable
• Solid knowledge of key contract formats, such as FIDIC, Orgalime, LOGIC, NEC, NTK
• Prior relevant experience with contract drafting and negotiations within energy services, oil and gas, renewable sectors or construction projects is a benefit
  • Experience within any of the following areas is a benefit: construction, engineering, management, procurement (public or private)
• A strong personal motivation, strategic mindset and commercial understanding
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
