Due to the demand for our products and services, we need to hire a Product Responsible Engineer to our Offshore Pipehandling department in Kristiansand.

NOV Kristiansand, Offshore Pipehandling department, is a leading supplier of Piphandling Equipment. As a leading supplier, in our segment, we continuously develop new advanced and high-tech solutions with focus on environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions.

The candidate should have experience within design of machines and systems. Competence to design, review and document solutions with minimal supervision is required. The candidate should be assertive, organised, flexible, and quality orientated.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Product Development
• Responsible for product cost control
• Responsible for cost, planning and evaluation of quotes
• Providing technical support towards customers
• Responsible for equipment deliveries
• Creating, updating, and maintaining product & project documentation
• Lead coordination between i.e discipline engineers, product responsible engineers, document controllers
• Work both in teams and independent
• Actively promote HSE and ensure the highest standards of HSE are maintained irrespective of location of work

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree as Mechanical or Mechatronics engineer with ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years minimum Engineering and Project experience
• Relevant offshore experience preferred

SKILLS, TRAINING, OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE: 

• Good English skills. Verbal and writing
• Able to understand the business needs and drivers
• A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems
• 3D/2D Cad tools
• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
• Ability to work independently, listen to customer needs, develop and present solutions
