We have an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to join our team in Norway. We are looking for a competent HR Manager that will partner with the Geozone and HR Leadership Team and key stakeholders to develop and implement processes, practices and systems that assure high quality HR business partnership, staff consulting and execution of HR service delivery. You will play a key role in enabling HR to demonstrate and influence a culture of accountability, business readiness, customer focus and continuous process improvement.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the strategic plan for the Geozone and company in the delivery of all HR related services to the business, employees, and relevant stakeholder.
  • Applies creative yet effective HR knowledge to solve a range of business problems and provide recommendations to enable informed business-planning, decision-making and/or the development of new or improved practice.
  • Works very closely with the WSC and Hemisphere CoE’s and can navigate between these to provide the best HR solutions to clients and support to team members.
  • Make visible and be able to provide advice to employees on the Weatherford confidential reporting tool (Listen Up) on compliance and ethical breaches.
  • Contributes to the development of the budget of the various business units in relevant countries by sharing expertise and assisting with their resource plans.
  • VPS system is effectively monitored with appropriate safeguards in place to ensure all payments are in line with approvals and approvals in line with applicable policies.
  • Collaborates with the WSC to ensure all HR transactions are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Supports the Hemisphere CoE teams in the delivery of Global and Hemisphere programs of work.
  • ‘One HR’ – need to deliver HR services and programs in a joined-up approach so that the business sees a seamless service.
  • Partners with the country operation and function managers as a point of contact for all HR related enquires.
  • Addresses employee requests and potential issues such as grievance or employee relations.
  • Coaches / guides and advises in the annual HR people cycle as it relates to: performance, onboarding, employee relations, reward, performance, talent & succession management and resourcing including NextGen.
  • Works with Eastern Hemisphere mobility team to provide support for globally mobile International Assignees in the country.
  • Liaises with external vendors such as Health Management providers, etc. to ensure the best service in health care and other applicable offering is being provided to employees.
  • Conducts, along with HR team, onboarding of new employees, such that the “One Weatherford” spirit/culture is instilled into the new employees from the outset.
  • Participates in meetings that involve a range of issues (e.g., personnel actions, regulatory requirements, actions involving outside agencies, inter-department needs, etc.) for the purpose of developing recommendations and/or supporting other staff.
  • Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g., verification requests of employment, monthly headcount report, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information valuable to making business decisions.
  • Constantly trains HR team members on processes, procedures, and policies; for the purpose of ensuring that best employment practices are followed.

 

Requirements:

  • University Degree in in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
  • Preferably +10 years working experience in HR functions.
  • Strong communication skills both in Norwegian and English.
  • Effective application of the 3 pillared HR Model (Business Partner, CoE and Shared Services).
  • Strong experience in dealing with Unions and solid understanding of Norwegian labour laws.
  • Client partnership and commercially focused, must be diplomatic and objective.
  • Agile – ability to change and be flexible in a fast moving, changeable   environment.
  • Good knowledge of HR policies, systems (HRMS), procedures, guidelines, and philosophies.
  • Should possess patience, integrity, and sensitivity.
