Senior Project Manager – Rig & Marine

Your position: 

Semco Maritime is an international service company covering a broad range of the energy sector. Our department in Stavanger provides manpower to both operators and rig owners, and at the Yard at Hanøytangen we offer maintenance and modifications on mobile offshore units. Our Yard include several service quays and Northern Europe’s largest dry dock.

The Senior Project manager report to the Head of projects.

Your tasks & responsibilities: 

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects according to agreed budget, plan, and quality, and to the satisfaction of our customers. The projects typically involve maintenance and modification tasks on floating units such as drilling rigs. They cover all disciplines and project phases, and the project manager will also be involved in the sales phase. Several contractual models are applied for the projects.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Initiating projects defined in alignment with main stakeholders
• Updating and informing the key people on project progress and that they are kept up to date with relevant information
• Executing projects and implementation ensuring coordination and completion of technical projects, delivering the needed technical solutions
• Identifying and driving opportunities to improve the business
• Alignment of priorities related to defined business criteria like safety, financial impact, costumer requirements and risks

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

• Higher technical education
• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
• Experience from MODU or marine projects
• Able to manage fixed price projects larger than 100 MNOK
• Able to manage both technical and financial risk
• Advanced Norwegian and English level, both written and verbally
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
