Fred. Olsen Windcarrier is now preparing for the future by looking for an newly graduate to join The Norwegian Shipowners' Association´s Maritime Trainee program as a Fred. Olsen Windcarrier employee. The Maritime Trainee program is one of the leading marine trainee programs in Norway, since 2005 more than 240 trainees and 40 companies have been part of the program.
About the program
The program will start in august 2023 and has a length of 18 months. During this 18 months you will be working in the company and rotation between different departments and roles.
During the program you will participate in five academic modules in Norway, Singapore and London. The focus of the academic modules will be:
1) Climate, environment and sustainability,
2) Digitization and new technology
3) Knowledge across the ocean industries
What we are looking for
We are looking for an individual with great potential to be further developed and that is seeking an career within Maritime Industry.
To be a part of the program you are a newly graduated candidate, or with a few years work experience.
Examples of relevant qualifications would be:
- Masters degree within technology, digitalisation, economics or law (other relevant educational background will also be considered)
- Exposure to different cultures and locations through International experience during studies or work will be a benefit
- Good communications skills
To be successful as a Maritime trainee candidates should be passionate about climate change, be self-driven and have a positive mindset.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and the ability of work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
- A doer mentality, to get the job done
As a maritime trainee you will be permanent employed in Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and you will move into a new role within the organisastion when your trainee program has ended. During the program you will receive an internal mentor to support you during the program.

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier provides innovative and tailored services for the transport, installation, and maintenance of offshore wind farms. Building on almost 175 years of marine experience, Fred.
