We are rapidly expanding with several initiatives focusing on sustainability and technology. Our largest business ventures to date are soon launching. We seek a business development manager to help us make them a success.

As an agile and daring company, we are at the forefront of developing the aquaculture industry. Through Eide Sustainable Marine Technology we have combined our expertise in fish farming and a passion for folk, fjord and future into the new WaterMoon technology. A biological platform to grow fish in the ocean wile caring for nature and have a positive footprint. WaterMoon will enable a paradigm shift in our industry and reset the standard for sustainable seafood production. Our ambition of taking a leading position will take us into new markets and ventures.


The role

You will be key to ensuring that our strategic aims are successful through building our new business units. Your main focus in the beginning will be on Northern Europe. We believe that good business is aligned with people, our fish, and nature whilst providing jobs and opportunities in the communities we operate in. This will be a key perspective in our international expansion and a core perspective in your daily work.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating long term value for the Eide Group through looking at sustainability and value creation as united
  • Identifying leading investment and entrepreneurship opportunities for Eide globally to create more valuable food for the future
  • Research, identify and assess business opportunities and make strategies for business expansion
  • Manage and execute strategies and projects within business development
  • Developing business plans and implementing business strategies
  • Networking and establishing relations with customers, suppliers, government, and other key partners
  • Developing a unique positioning and competitive advantage for the brand and company
  • Support commercial and contract negotiations
  • Assisting in planning and implementing marketing initiatives in the various markets
  • Ensuring that we have the best available insight, and use reliable data in our decision-making
  • Continuous assessment of business opportunities, originating both internally and externally


Although your main focus will be on WaterMoon your skillset will be valuable throughout the Eide Group. You will be challenged to identify and develop commercial opportunities within all aspects of our business. We aim to support and develop businesses and concepts which moves our industry towards a more sustainable future. Therein you will have an important role collaborating with Salmon Eye in discovering new and exciting opportunities within seafood production. This includes identifying up-and-coming technologies, ways of doing business, and potential partnerships with others.


The role will be reporting to our CEO, Sondre Eide. At Eide we have a flat organizational structure, and you will join a very innovative and forward-thinking team. The Eide group is characterized by a strong goal orientation, and we believe that hard work and fun goes hand in hand. For the right candidate there will be ample opportunities for growth and learning.


Your background

To succeed in the role, you will need to be experienced within business development in a leadership function. You are curious, never stop wondering what if, and truly understand what the people in the company do to create value. You identify the key integrators and see future potential. You have a comprehensive understanding and skillset within new venture creation or expansion and can work independently. You value integrity, and lead both people and our business initiatives in a way that reflect our core values. You get things done and finish projects, you know that everything is possible with hard work and a good team.

You prefer to work hard alongside the team, filling in where required as we build our team over time. You are flexible and able to travel to key expansion areas.

Visually stunning, with it’s double curved ellipsoid design, Salmon Eye is one of the world’s largest enterable floating art installations. Our aim is to see aquaculture in a new evolutionary way.


Eide Sustainable Marine Technology is currently developing break-through innovations within aquaculture. The new WaterMoon technology is developed in ESMT and is an important strategic part of the Eide group, enabling us to produce in a revolutionary way. The initiative will enable a paradigm shift in our industry and set a new standard for aquaculture.
