Group Operations and Process Manager
Jotun is looking for an independent and enthusiastic Operations and Process Manager for our group operations department. Our Group Operations Department is responsible for developing the Jotun group's factory operations from A-to-Z, meaning from when raw materials are received until our paint products are ready for transportation from our factories. Our new Group Operations and Process Manager will focus on process management and be an important contributor in shaping Jotun's future operations for our powder paint segment.
The chosen candidate will have a combination of both technical and strategic tasks related to process management within the global Jotun network - amongst other identifying, assuring, and assessing the necessary requirements for product quality, efficiency and competence in factory processes will be a central part of your workday. Also, performing internal trainings and support systematic investigations of non-conformances or complaints will be important tasks in this position.
The position will be located at Jotun's state of the art head office in Sandefjord, Norway.
JOB DESCRIPTION
At request be a proactive member on innovations to ensure product integrity from lab, through pilot and into factories
Act according to departmental roles and procedures, and within the relevant segments
Be point of reference for technical requirements within process- quality, efficiency and competence
Identify, test and evaluate new equipment for good processing solutions
Act on product specific HSEQ aspects in raw materials and new formulations and follow up Management of Change implementation whenever necessary
At assignment participate in JOS assessment and support Jotun companies so that they can assess their JOS implementation and establish programs to improve
Participate in the development of mandatory standards and best practices within the area of Powder Processing, to ensure consistent product quality and efficient paint processing
Train, assist and encourage local and regional organisations to work with improvements in compliance with Jotun Operations System and relevant Academies, with special focus on optimization of an efficient production processes
Participate in new factory projects to ensure that lay out and equipment is optimized for process solutions
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Formal Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher within processing, chemistry, or design/engineering. It is preferable with master's degree within one if these fields, but long experience can make up for candidates with other educational backgrounds
Minimum 3 years of industrial or factory experience within the field of powder production, preferable with experience from powder paint production specifically
Experience with responsibilities from the areas of process, R&D, quality management or technical sales can also be considered as relevant
Preferable with some ERP experience (preferably IFS)
Skilled user of the MS office package
Fluent in English - both verbally and written
Willingness to travel internationally as part of the position
