Technical Expert - Process planning Extrusion

Centre of Competence (CoC) Aluminium Extrusion and Profile Forming at Benteler Automotive Raufoss has an open position as: Technical Expert - Process Planning Extrusion.

Responsibilities

• Do process planning for extrusion plants (to establish input for cost estimation)
• Initiate extrusion drawing and/or check available drawings
• Handle profile enquires and establish process input for cost estimation
• Arrange feasibility meetings with extrusion teams worldwide
• Act as initial point of contact for extrusion feasibility
• Support development teams in profile design/ optimisation
• Participate in benchmark and improvement programs related to the extrusion process
• Participate in R&D programs related to extrusion

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc/MSc Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Materials or equivalent experience
• Experience from extrusion of aluminium profiles
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Software knowledge (for example CAD, SAP, Excel, and MS-Project)
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship globally
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
