We're looking for a Tech Team Lead to Simployer

The position
In your position as a team lead in Simployer you will help build the next generation of HR Tech solutions. You will touch everything from front-end user experience to back-end services and data stores, with main focus on back-end. You will lead your team towards developing high-quality, maintainable and robust code. We make architecture decisions collaboratively and you will be working in a cross functional agile team of product owners, developers and QA's that work closely with our colleagues based in Norway, Sweden and Poland.

This position needs to be at the head quarter of Simployer in Sarpsborg, Norway, a few days a week. As work balance is important, we also offer you to work hydride from home and at our Oslo office.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day work for the tech team
• Be a coach and a nearest leader for your team members
• Utilise your experience by contributing towards a secure and scalable architecture
• Write code and unit tests to develop new software products and/or features
• Develop scalable and performant RESTful APIs
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve engineering productivity
• Conduct design and code reviews to drive quality
• Contribute towards common goals and strategies

Qualifications for a team lead
This is an unordered list, and expertise can be limited to a subset.

• Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in computer science or closely related field

• Extended experience as a software engineer designing, implementing and shipping cloud services or software products

• Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, security mechanisms in modern web applications

• Fluent in at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java or C++

• Good understanding of authentication and authorization in modern web applications using technologies like OpenID Connect, OAuth 2, SAML

• Fluent in English, and able to communicate efficiently with teams across borders

Nice to have as a team lead

• Experience working with distributed systems building large-scale, secure and resilient services
• Experience with asynchronous pub-sub message bus architectures such as Azure Event Hubs or RabbitMQ
• Experience building systems using Domain Driven Design principles
• Experience architecting solutions with Azure or AWS
• Experience working with front-end frameworks like React and Angular
• Good understanding of business processes, privacy and GDPR
