ACCOUNTING MANAGER
The position reports to the CFO and is based in Oslo to strengthen the in-house finance team, providing financial services to all entities across four countries: Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden and United States. Ensuring legal compliance and providing financial reporting services, externally and internally, the Finance team is also the front information office to ensure all stakeholders have the correct, tailored data to support their decision-making processes.
We work in an integrated cloud-based environment using MS Dynamics NAV 2017, Document Capture, Expensify and QlikSense. With IT as an enabler, we create robust, agile and cost-efficient processes.
The position shall currently include, but not be limited to, the following;
Responsibilities:
Financial accounting
Through a broad, accurate overview and active working style, steer elements of the accounting tasks, including some controlling elements:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes for the companies in the Xynteo Group
- Lead the accounting month-end and year-end closing process with the wider finance team
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
- Work closely with external suppliers and clients resolving any queries
- Monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Invoicing and follow-up of invoicing to clients
- VAT reporting
- Ensure that appropriate internal controls are maintained
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Assist in the timely production of internal financial reports
- Participate in developing and implementation of new finance routines, processes and policies
Characteristics:
Professional background
- Preferably, but not limited to - Master’s degree in business & economics, finance or professional accounting
- Business savvy with strong knowledge and understanding of end-to-end financial processes
- 2-5 years experience from a larger international organization an advantage
Capabilities
- High digital fluency and a solid understanding of accounting software principles, preferably with in-depth knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV 2017 and strong MS Excel skills. Experience of QlikSense / or a similar Business Intelligence tool is an advantage
- Impeccable attention to detail, sound judgement, logical decision making and a strong analytical mind
- A practical, constructive hands-on approach in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to prioritize and initiate work proactively, in the team and independently
- Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written

Our team – covering 19 nationalities – has a variety of backgrounds and experience in business, science, finance, technology, energy, infrastructure, law and communications. We have offices in Oslo, London, Mumbai, and Gurugram. This position will be based in Oslo and reports to CFO.
