Data Analytics Engineer

Location: Oslo, Norway

Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Data Analytics Enegineer in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future. As our Data Analytics Engineer you will be responsible for driving the business to make data-driven decisions and improving self-service Business Intelligence within Scatec. The role will require to engage with teams across all departments such as Finance, Project Development, Asset Management, HR, Solutions and Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Be responsible and understand how to improve business processes and value drivers to specify requirements. The role will provide exposure to different levels of the data landscape, having full ownership of the end-to-end flow of data, being responsible for communicating best practices within the organisation

Main responsibilities 

• Map datasources and build pipeline and connectors between applications and systems
• Developing services and making relevant data available across the organisation in order to make data driven decisions
• Deliver valuable and high-quality data to the business units
• Expand and centralise our common business data
• Ensure best practice infrastructure and database optimisation for improved delivery lead-time
• Execute on data flow processes for ensuring data governance
• Build and maintain common datasets for self-service reports across the organisation
• Maintain global standard reports and data sets
• Train end users in reporting tools and other relevant analysis tools

Qualifications and competencies 

• Higher education, minimum bachelor within computer science, statistics, informatic, information systems or other quantitative studies, or relevant experience with documented results
• 5 years relevant experience
• Fluent in English, spoken and written (Norwegian proficiency is not required)
• You have either experience from Data Analytics/Engineer role, or within Business Intelligence
• Experience with implementing cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure  (Preferably Azure SQL Database, Azure Analysis Services and/or Azure Data Factory) or equivalent AWS/Google solutions
• Business Intelligence tools (such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau)
• Preferably experience with data science tools and languages such as Python
• Preferably experience with data integration from finance modules in ERP systems (nice to have Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations)
