You will be part of our Danish business with headquarters in Brøndby and factories in Kalundborg and Brazil. At the office in Brøndby, we are a total of 150 engineers with 50 different nationalities and backgrounds and a high professional level. We are specialists in technically advanced pipes and accessories in a multitude of materials – from steel to polymer.

Energy Transition

The Oil and Gas industry has driven us over last decades and will continue to be our main market for some time, but NOV is diversifying the business model to support renewables and low carbon energy resources. In this position you may have possibility to understand the market trends by seeing what is being requested from us, to contribute on our solutions, and to interact with other parts of the company in order to apply NOV SPS's core competences within the renewables market.

A collaborative and international culture

You will be part of our international Pipe System Design department, where we work on several major pipe design projects at a time in a multi-disciplinary environment - from mechanics to material science. In Denmark we are divided into 3 teams: Pipe System Design 1 and 2 and Pipe System Design Sales.

Play a vital role – create and build our solutions from the beginning

You are part of Pipe System Design Sales and here you will have plenty of opportunities to explore your creativeness to derive riser solutions that will create the most value for both NOV and our customers. You will engage closely with other internal engineering departments and your abilities to model the offshore environment will be a key. That includes modeling of metocean data, vessel dynamics, seabed interaction, temperature, interaction with other structures and of course the characteristics of our pipes.

This means that you:

• develop cost effective and risk appropriate technical proposals
• gather input and create dynamic FEA models
• optimize system layout and components and analyze system interfaces
• perform simulations using the commercial software Orcaflex
• review specifications, interact with stakeholders and document your work.

Curious and structured engineer

• You have a relevant education, e.g., as a mechanical engineer, naval architect or equivalent.
• Ideally you should have some years' experience from a similar role, but we will consider the potential of recent graduates as well.
• You are a curious team player with the ability to see the system as a whole
• You can demonstrate good results, either from your studies or from previous jobs.
• You speak and write English fluently.
