Ground Transportation Systems Norway AS is a part of Thales. We are currently both developing the next generation Traffic Management System (TMS) together with Bane NOR, and delivering the signaling system SignAn. For the TMS project, we are looking for candidates that would like to join us on our journey to deliver, maintain and secure Norway’s largest digitalization program for 4 000 km of tracks. This project contains three control centres, a training centre and a test lab – as well as more than 80 operator places, and it has interfaces with Legacy and the ERTMS signalling systems with 21 adjacent existing systems.


As an IS Security Manager you will design, implement and manage the Customer Service Information System for the purpose of operation requirements of the Traffic Management System. You will work in close collaboration with the Service Engineering Manager, and you will deal with computerized maintenance management system, IT service management system, configuration, asset and user management system to keep the TMS secure and fully available during operations.

In this role, your key responsibilities will be to:


  • Manage the urbanization activity of the Service Information System
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the Service Information System
  • Develop and deploy the Service Information System
  • Manage and structure the Service Information System
  • Work with the Service Delivery manager and/or the Digital Factory to identify
  • improvement opportunities
  • Execute incident response activities as Incident Manager, and participate in the detection, containment, and eradication efforts of information security incidents as well as the restoration of affected systems
  • Update incident response procedures and recording decisions, actions, and inputs/outputs pertaining to incident response
  • Oversee security event monitoring, threat management, threat modeling, identifying threat vectors and developing use cases for security monitoring. Creating and updating reports, dashboards, and metrics for Security Monitoring
  • Hunt for signs of malware and malicious events not detected by our existing security controls
  • Assist in implementing new security mechanisms and features and maintaining/improving existing ones
  • Researching and developing new digital forensics scripts, tools, and methodologies and staying on the forefront of attacker tools, tactics, and procedures
  • Lead and manage penetration testing
  • Support vulnerability analysis

What we expect:


  • You have experience in threat detection and Information Security Incident Response
  • You are familiar with commonly used information security concepts, best practices, and standard procedures
  • You work well under pressure in a continually changing fast paced environment
  • You have experience with SIEM (Security Information Event Management) tools
  • You have working experience with all major OS such as Windows/Linux
  • You have experience in other areas of Cybersecurity, such as penetration testing and Security Operation Center (SOC)

To be qualified for this role, you need to have the following qualifications and experience:


  • Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Min. 3 years’ experience as Security Manager
  • Full overview of the cyber security, patch management, incident response, preventive and corrective action
  • Extensive performance reporting
  • Extensive knowledge within vulnerability monitoring
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
