TEAMLEADER

As R&D Team Lead, you are responsible for managing and inspiring a team of experienced software developers. You come from a background of software development, QA testing, Product Management or another technical role. While you are capable at code writing, your passion is leading people to deliver outstanding results. This role will report to OSS Director of R&D.

As a guide to the team you are capable of fulfilling the following roles:

• Team Manager: You keep the team in-line with all activities and task prioritization, you’re fluent in Agile software development and can provide a strong sense of guidance in showing the right way of working.
• Strategist: You must determine impediments and provide solutions to complete tasks. You have a keen eye on the latest technology trends that we can leverage in our software development strategy. You’re not the fountain of all knowledge though, and have the highest respect for team members contributions
• Primary point of Communication: You distribute information, including requirements, updates, or challenges to all stakeholders.
• Organizer: You keep track of all project activities, tasks, documents, and status of your team members.
• Goal setter: You determine goals and objectives at the beginning of the project until it is accomplished. You are instrumental in the empowerment of team members to achieve their best.
• Mediator: You are comfortable in handing conflict resolution or miscommunication that may arise to avoid any negative impact on team collaboration. You’re also experienced in dealing with private affairs or misconduct in a private and professional manor.
