Statkraft’s International Trainee Programme is a great introduction into working life. You will spend 16-months learning and developing yourself alongside other graduates and start your career in renewables. The programme consists of three job rotations across the company, of which at least one will be abroad. As a trainee, you will participate in various professional development courses and gatherings to acquire new skills and share experiences. You will also get the opportunity to apply for a seat on our CEO-led Future Board initiative – an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals at Statkraft.

What will you do?

Trainee, Wind and Solar Project Development, Amsterdam or Den Bosch, Netherlands
The Procurement Team within Wind and Solar project development work with acquisition of wind and solar projects and develop them from ideation to making an investment decision, to project development, construction, and maintenance. Together with colleagues across departments, we carefully monitor project profitability, work on the technical designs, procure equipment and take the assets through construction. As a trainee in the procurement team, you will:

• Contribute to the sourcing and development of projects.
• Perform projects tracking, collect digital layouts from Municipalities/Provinces to identify new project areas, read relevant legislation concerning development and implementation in The Netherlands.
• Support our external communication in the country
• Conduct market analysis.

Qualifications

We need coming graduates who are motivated to be part of the green transition and welcome individuals from different backgrounds that want to help change the world with us. Statkraft is looking for trainees with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions that includes:  

• Master’s degree in energy engineering, business, economics or other relevant fields engineering, business, economics or other relevant fields
• Interest in the renewable energy industry
• Excellent analytical capacity and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly understand and process information as well as adapt quickly to new situations
• No more than one year of work experience post education (excluding internships/part-time jobs) 
• Self-driven, commercial thinker and a positive team player
• Fluency in English is required, knowledge of other European languages is an advantage
