Job purpose:

This role, based in Well Expertise’s main office in Randaberg just outside Stavanger, shall be part of the Well Engineering Team. The role shall assist Drilling Engineers (DE's) and Senior Drilling Engineers (SDE's) with input to and performing well design activities, for preparation and follow-up of activity programs and detailed operational procedures, assist offshore; ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Areas of responsibility:

• Assist DE’s and SDE’s with engineering studies for our clients
• Assist DE’s and SDE’s with liaising with 3rd party suppliers during well planning
• Recommend adoption of new technology if value adding
• Assist in preparation of the well design and associated documentation during the design process
• Assist in preparation of time estimates and Authorisation for Expenditures (AfE)
• Assist in development of activity programs and operational procedures
• Use existing software to assist in Well Design tasks
• Assist with developing equipment lists and call-off of equipment required for the operation
• Reporting – Assist with follow up and review of reporting during operations; ensuring that all reporting requirements from the operation are met. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum BSc. Degree in Energy/ Petroleum Engineering or similar. Preferably MSc. Degree
• Willingness to go offshore during operations 
• Sound understanding of risk and it’s incorporation into the planning process
• Very good written and oral English. Norwegian is advantageous but not essential
• Must have work permit and residence permit in Norway

Reporting to:

Organisationally Graduate Drilling Engineer will report to COO.

In projects Graduate Drilling Engineer will report to Project Manager / Drilling Superintendent.

Work Location:

You will be based at Well Expertise’s main office in Randaberg just outside Stavanger.
