The Fishery & Research (FAR) division focuses on deck handling and deck machinery for the fishery segment related to trawlers, purse seiners, service boats for fish farmers and live fish carriers in addition to the Oceanographic, Polar and Fishery research vessels.
MacGregor Fishery & Research (FAR) division is currently looking for a Test & Commissioning Engineer who will be responsible for execute test, installation, commissioning and warranty activities on site.
Our Test & Commissioning Engineers are responsible for the preparation of the detailed plan, for execution and report of all activities in the test, for the installation and commissioning test phase.
You can be based anywhere in Norway however it is essential that you live close to one of the main airports. Beneficial if you live close to one of MacGregor's offices which are located in Averøy, Bergen, Bodø and Kristiansand.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Execute test, installation, commissioning and warranty activities
- Together with the customer project organization and site team, draw up a detailed plan interims of scope, time and risk
- Ensure that MacGregors detailed plan is synchronized with customers/shipyard plan
- Registration of Deviations and Improvement proposals in the quality system
- Participate in mobilization - and demobilization meetings before/after travelling, to secure the required documentation is signed and stored on correct location after completed mission
What you’ll need to succeed
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. within automation, mechatronics or hydraulic or equivalent
- Proven results from similar positions can compensate for formal education
- Practical experience from commissioning of winch and/or deck handling equipment for the Maritime or Offshore industry is preferred
- Good computer skills
- Structured and customer oriented with good cooperation and technical skills
- Good technical English, spoken and written
