The position
Hydro REIN offers renewable energy solutions for cleaner and more sustainable industries. Our goal is to help our industrial clients take part in the energy transition. We facilitate access to affordable renewable power, which we will source from our own portfolio of hydro, solar and wind projects in Brazil and the Nordics. We also provide industrial scale energy solutions to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions and cut costs inside the fence.

REIN's technical department is now looking for a future specialist within hybrid solutions, energy storage (batteries) combined with wind and solar assets. The ideal candidate has knowledge of battery systems and associated services, i.e. an understanding of the market and drivers. Further, studies within solar or wind technology, and what benefits storage systems could bring to these assets, is highly desirable.

Areas of responsibility

• Based on your technical knowledge of batteries and understanding of market drivers, identify and develop business cases for solutions jointly with REIN's Energy solutions and Investment teams
• Support technical assessments (for example yield assessments) for wind and solar assets
• Experience from either WindPRO or PVSyst is preferable, although not a requirement
• Develop as a technical specialist within battery and hybrid solutions
• Digitalization and driving initiatives and efforts within your segment, hybrid solutions
• Participation in research initiatives and joint industry projects

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering or Business with strong academic results.
• Maximum two years of full-time work experience after graduation
• Fluency in written and spoken English and preferably fluency in a Scandinavian language
• Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work will be considered an advantage
• Experience, for example Master Thesis, on hybrid solutions is preferable
• Previous experience with wind and solar projects is desirable
