QA/Test Engineer for world-leading IoT company in Asker

Miros is looking for a QA/Test Engineer to join us in creating state-of-the-art sensors and systems for environmental monitoring of ocean waves and decision support applications for our maritime and offshore customers. We are a global leader in our domain and have many challenging development projects. To achieve this, we are looking for a structured and engaging professional who can help us ensure stable and efficient development of our applications with an eternal focus on improvement!

Miros has an R&D team of close to 20 people. The team is doing everything from basic research, concept development, hardware and software prototyping, lab and field testing to productization of existing and future products. The technology team is also working closely with the sales and operations teams as well as some of our key customers.  

In the role of QA/Test Engineer you will work with testing and quality assurance of the next generation sensors and software solutions in close collaboration with the rest of the technology team. We have an extensive test infrastructure and the main focus will be on test automation and building an efficient test strategy all the way from unit tests to system tests. This is a new position in our team with great opportunities to influence how we do quality assurance. The position reports to the SW Team Lead.  

Main tasks 

• Maintain and develop test code
• Automation testing
• Documentation (test specifications, plans and reports)
• Design and maintain test strategy
• Maintain and develop test infrastructure 

Qualifications 

We are looking for someone with a M.Sc. or B.Sc. + 2+ years of experience in a relevant field. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications: 

• Good programming knowledge in Python, C#, .NET 
• Experience from testing and test automation of software products
• Interest in the interaction between real-world sensor systems and software
• Experience with agile methodology
• Ability to understand complex systems consisting of IoT sensors and software 
• Interest in modern IoT systems for environmental monitoring.

We are looking for someone with a genuine curiosity and interest in many aspects of technology. In this position you will benefit from a basic background in natural sciences and electronics as well as experience working with Azure Test Plans or similar tools. You are comfortable in an interdisciplinary team but you are also self-driven and able to work independently. You are structured, accurate and reliable as well as eager to learn many new things. You have good communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
