The Engineering segment within Aker Solutions are specialists in managing large projects from feasibility studies and conceptual engineering, through FEED and detailed engineering.

We are looking for a Young Professional – Safety Engineer to join our Technical Safety & Process, HVAC Team at Fornebu.

What will you be doing?

Technical Safety Design in a large engineering project encompasses a large number of subjects. As one of our Technical Safety/Loss Prevention Engineers you will typically be involved in developing your competence and skills in one or more of the following activities:

• The specification and design of active and passive fire protection systems, safety equipment, escape routes and development of layout documentation
• Specification of fire and gas detection and alarm systems
• Involvement in evaluating risk analyses, SIL and reliability analyses, hazard analyses
• Participation in safety workshops and reviews
• Interface and cooperation with other project team members, subcontractors/vendors and client personnel, as necessary

We think you should have:

We are looking for motivated candidates with a relevant technical degree. You should be happy at working in project environments as part of a large team and have good communication skills. Professional proficiency in both verbal and written English is important.

• An ability for delivering results and meeting customer expectations
• A technical and analytical mindset combined with commercial awareness
• An HMS mindset
