Quality Engineer

About the position

We are now looking for a Quality Engineer with a good understanding of the subject who want to ensure that that production delivers parts according to the quality standards. We want you who have a mindset of customer satisfaction and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Customer satisfaction in resolution and containment of concerns
• Identification of opportunities for customer service improvement
• Customer APQP / PPAP liaison for NPI and PPCR

Main tasks

• Build effective working relationships with all relevant customer representatives.
• Identify, devise and manage opportunities and improvements for customer satisfaction
• Measure customer delivered manage action plans to improve customer delivered PPM
• Conduct QFD exercises with customers
• Apply statistical techniques including DOE for root cause analysis and process optimization
• Control non-conforming materials at the customer or in transit to the customer including managing third party containment organizations
• Liase with customers engineering departments at new concept stage and gain understanding of potential future customer requirements
• Liase with customer on APQP and PPAP to support NPI, PPCR and concern resolution
• Liase with customers and manage PPAP / PSW submissions to customers including customer PSW approval
• Lead and contribute to system FMEA’s with customers
• Attend and report on customer product trials from prototype to SOP and Conduct first delivery audit at the customer at SOP
• Contribute to design and process FMEA as the voice of the customer
• Ensure customer related quality documents and records are controlled
• Compile process maps and flow chats as required to support improvement activities

Preferred experience

• International quality standards awareness, understanding and application
• Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications
• GD&T
• Effective customer relationship building
• NPI, Change control
• All APQP and PPAP activities
• 8D, Root cause analysis, DOE, SPC
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Working autonomously and managing conflicting priorities

Preferred skills

• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, e-mail, Internet
• SAP
• Language skills:
                         English fluent written and oral
                         Understand and able to communicate in a Scandinavian language
• Drivers license class B (there are no public transport to the plant/facility)
