Join us as a Project Engineer!

To meet additional challenges and opportunities we are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our Aftermarket department within Measurement and Production Solutions, Norway.

As our new team member, you will be part of a highly experienced Aftermarket group, where everyone's contribution counts and adds real value. You will be able to work and be involved in the whole system value chain; from requirement & concept phase, through implementation, and further to test, installation, and support both towards customers and internal stakeholders.

In TechnipFMC our department is the provider for Aftermarket services for fiscal and non-fiscal metering solutions worldwide. In addition, we provide spare parts, training and 24/7 support services. With 30 years of experience in delivering robust and reliable metering systems to the oil and energy industry, we are also eager to utilize this competence and our culture into new areas going forward.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform field service, installation, commissioning, and warranty scope on delivered systems.
    • Both within hardware and software discipline.
  • Inhouse project work and operational support to clients.
  • Configure and test spare parts prior to delivery.
  • Internal (IAT) and external testing (FAT/SAT) of new and reconfigured hardware and software systems.
  • Witnessing and follow up of calibrations.
  • Perform 24/7 support by phone, email and Teams etc.
  • Create documents and procedures as applicable and relevant.

Note: Extensive travelling on- and offshore worldwide, sometimes on short notice, is a requirement in this position.

As our new team member we assume you have the following competencies/background:
  • Higher education within Electro or Software programming.
    • Relevant experience may compensate lack of formal education.
  • Proven experience within electro/automation is a mandatory requirement.
  • Certificate of trade (fagbrev) within electro/automation and/or Fagskole with some years' experience is seen as an advantage.

The knowledge of metering, products and job specific competencies will be shared with you.

Personal competencies we see as the most important:

  • Good communication skills
    • Norwegian and English language oral and written is a mandatory requirement.
  • Interested in learning new things and eager to contribute into a common goal.
  • Work well in cross-functional teams inhouse, and at the same time be comfortable travel and meet our customers as our representative on site.
  • Structured and independent to solve challenges and deliver within expected requirements and deadlines.
  • Cultural awareness.
  • Meet the health requirements for offshore work and be able to obtain VISA`s for travelling internationally.
