Aker Solutions acquires Frontica Engineering
Aker Solutions has June 30, 2022, agreed with HMH to acquire Frontica Engineering AS, a multidiscipline engineering house in Kristiansand, Norway. The acquisition is an important step to further strengthen Aker Solutions’ engineering business driving the energy transition with a significant foothold also in the Agder region, Norway.

Frontica Engineering is building on decades of experience as a specialized multidiscipline engineering partner for developing and documenting compliant topside solutions related to drilling facilities (fixed/floating), FPSOs, wellhead platforms and other offshore installations during all engineering phases including procurement and commissioning. All in accordance with customers’ needs and requirements. In addition to new-built projects the company has been involved in many large upgrade projects. In the last years Frontica Engineering has also been involved in projects in the renewables market.
