Reporting line
The Technical Support Engineer reports directly to the Technical Manager.
Role
In this role you will be our technical main point of contact for our electrical wireline services, supporting the workshop with continuous improvement of our services, as well as supporting the operation team as required. In addition, you will get the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art surface equipment as well as being a key player in the digitalization process.
Key responsibilities
- Be the technical team main point of contact for e-line / logging equipment
- Be responsible for following up non-conformances and improvement suggestions on our e-line / logging services, tools, and processes.
- Daily support to logging workshop, operations, logistics and sales as required with any technical issues or clarifications.
- Ensure that equipment and documentation is according to applicable external and internal regulations and standards.
- Request and purchase of spare parts and new equipment as required.
- Contribute with technical requirements during procurement of new equipment
- Follow up registration of equipment and spare parts in ERP system.
- Continuously look for areas to improve related to equipment, procedures, performance of the work etc.
- Contribute with technical assistance during transition to a digital workflow
- Be prepared to lead technical projects when required.
- Provide support to all on- and offshore disciplines within Archer Wireline scope of work (mechanical, logging etc.) as required.
Education
- Bachelor – or Technical College degree within electro, automation or relevant technical degree is preferred. Graduates are encouraged to apply on the position.
- Certificate of apprenticeship within Electro/Automation/Logging is required.
- Extensive experience working within electrical downhole tools may compensate for lack of higher education.
- Experience with establishing technical documentations such as reports, procedures and check lists
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Norwegian.
- Excellent skills in Word and Excel.
- Have the ability to work independently, and as a valued team player
- Can complete assigned work tasks and projects within agreed deadline
- Can work on several complex tasks simultaneously, and be comfortable with a high pace working environment
- Be proactive, enjoy and pursuit learning new skills
- Prepared to contribute hands on in a workshop environment, as well as in the office
