Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Power Production Analyst in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future. As our Power Production Analyst you will be part of the Operations and Maintenance Analytics team in the Power Production segment. Our team is continuously working to develop tools, methods, dashboards and insights to optimise renewable power generation, and closely following up our operating assets across the globe.

Main responsibilities 

The O&M Analytics team is a multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of operational and strategic responsibilities. These responsibilities are continuously developing. and can to some extent be adapted to the qualifications of the preferred candidate. Typical responsibilities covered by the team include:

• Developing new analysis tools, Python-scripts and processes to further improve existing systems and methods for power production analysis across different renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, hydro, Power to X).
• Contributing to systematic collection of data from our power generating assets, and development, validation and operationalisation of tools to support data-driven decision making.
• Building and maintaining automated reports and dashboards in MS Power BI or our central monitoring system to help O&M and other segments access key operational data and support recurring activities of the business.
• Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of optimisation potential in Scatec's operational solar, wind and hydropower plants. Analyse production discrepancies, document impact on overall performance and initiate processes for improvement when necessary.
• Participate in, and manage, longer-term R&D projects related to power production which Scatec carries out in cooperation with other industry stakeholders and research institutions.
• Support further development and execution of the O&M segments Data & Analytics strategy and alignment with Scatec's wider Digitalization strategy.

Qualifications and competencies 

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications. If you have some, but not all of the skills and feel motivated to apply, we encourage you to do so!

• Relevant Master's degree
• Previous working experience from the power production sector or other relevant sectors is an advantage, but graduate candidates with strong academic results and personal qualifications will also be considered.
• Experience with programming and data analysis in Python or similar, preferably also implementation of code and tools into operational use.
• Experience with Business Intelligence software and preparation of reports and dashboards in MS Power BI or similar.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Experience from working in international, multi-location environments is considered an advantage.
• Experience from managing or administrating projects within consulting, R&D, or internal process development is considered an advantage.
