We are looking for a motivated Safety Engineer for an exciting and versatile position in an international technology company. With us, you will be part of a highly competent team and have the opportunity for both professional and personal development. The position reports to Products & Engineering Director, NEL Hydrogen Electrolyser

Your most important responsibilities and tasks will be:

Ensure that our design follows related safety requirements in our hydrogen projects
Perform technical safety analysis and assessments
Establish and update documentation and drawings
Multidiscipline collaboration internally and with clients
Contribute to our risk and safety design reviews
Involvement in project acquisition processes
Provide technical safety support across the company
Contribute to competence building, continuous improvements, and best practice within technical safety.
Typical activities in our projects are, process safety and risk assessment, safety reviews (Hazid, HAZOP, LOPA) safety philosophy, functional safety / SIL, hazardous area classification, explosion analysis, RAM analysis, environmental budget / BAT evaluation, regulatory compliance

Desired qualifications and characteristics:

Relevant Bachelor or Master degree
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience is preferred
Knowledge and experience from ISO and IEC standards
Knowledge of relevant software such as: FLACS, KFK,MIRIAM RAM and Risk analysis tools

Personal characteristics:

A strong team player with the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks
Solution oriented with good collaboration skills
Good written and communication skills, both in English and Norwegian
