We are searching for an experienced and self-driven senior engineer to join our engineering team. Together with the team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing, installing and maintaining the software solutions offered by the company. Workplace is Bergen, Norway.

What you’ll do:

A Senior Engineer at Vimond is a key player in a team of engineers with main tasks as follows:

• Software engineering/development
• Documentation, code and solution design
• Quality Assurance
• Cooperation with Chief Architect, Lead Engineers and team
• Design solution alternatives with the Lead Engineer and your team in line with Vimond’s strategies
• Work on backlog tasks assigned to your team
• Write upgrade guides and document configurations and patches
• Review current systems for improvement opportunities, replacement or deprecation
• Test the products your team builds in controlled but real situations,
• Maintain the same systems once they are in production
• Contribute to the automation and simplification of the coding pipeline

Required skills

• Relevant higher education and/or long experience (8+ years) from a similar role.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in our core technologies
• JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL
• React/Redux/Vue.js
• AWS, Lambda, Serverless
• Experience in deployment of code to production environments, including experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• AWS Lambda
• AWS Step functions, MediaConvert, MediaPackage, CloudFront
• CDN, in general for video purposes
• DRM
• Unified Streaming
• AWS Security concepts & practices (IAM, users, roles, policies)
• Video tech knowledge, profiles, codes, etc.
